You can either measure the actual size you would like the blind to be, or measure the recess size within your window. Actual size is for when you want the blind to sit outside of the window, whereas recess size is for when you want the blind to sit within your window recess.
You can decide whether you would like to have the control mechanism on the left or the right side of the blind. If it is easier for you to reach one side of the blind rather than the other, then this makes adjusting the blind more convenient.
You can choose to have the control mechanism on the left or the right side of the blind and on some roman blinds you can also choose between cordlock or sidewinder controls.
Cordlock has a nylon cord that you draw to raise and can then be locked it into place when it is in the required position. This cord can then be released to lower. A child safety cleat is also supplied.
Sidewinder is a continuous chain mechanism with a low gearing, so it is more suitable for raising and lowering heavy or wide blinds. We would recommend this for blinds over 120cm wide or if is will be frequently raised and lowered.
This option determines the way in which the fabric rolls. Standard roll means that the fabric sits behind the roller tube. Alternatively, reverse roll sits in front of the roller tube. This option is better when your window has handles that might prevent the roller blind from closing.
With this blind you can choose the colour of the chain you would like. The metallic options give the blind an expensive look, however other options may be available.
As this blind is a made to measure product, it is made to your exact measurements. This means that you are responsible for ensuring the blind is of the right size for your window. However, for an additional charge we will provide measurement insurance. This means that should a measurement error be made we will provide a replacement blind.

Here you can choose whether the blind slats will open to the left, to the right, split stack or centre stack. When the the blind is open the blind will stack as follows depending on option selected:
- Left Stack - The vanes will stack to the left.
- Right Stack - The vanes will stack to the right.
- Split Stack - The vanes will stack either side of the window.
- Centre Stack - The vanes will stack in the centre of the window.
Usually you would choose an option to match your window or door frame. For instance if you install this blind in front of a sliding door you would ensure it opens the same way as the door.
With tape colour there are a number of colour options to choose from. You could match your tape colour to the slat colour so they compliment each other, or alternatively go for a nice contrast. You will see a measurement along with the colour in the selection list - this is the width in mm of the tape.
You can choose whether the blind will lift open from the left or right side. Your choice will depend on whether you want easy of access to the blind cord, or if you want to make it less accessible to a child.
You can choose whether the blind tilting wand will be positioned on the left or right side. Your choice will depend on whether you want easy of access to the tilt wand, or if you want to make it less accessible to a child.

The Standard headrail allows cords to run down the back of the blind all coming across to one side and threaded through a cord lock system.
The Deluxe sidewinder has cords running behind the blind like the standard, however they wind up into cartridges inside the track. Plus the deluxe has a higher ratio gear so it is easier to open and close the blind, especially important for wider blinds.
Different lining options are available for different circumstances. In particular you could go for a thicker blackout material to darken a child's bedroom, or to keep in heat. Alternatively lighter and thinner linings are available, which will keep a room lighter and cooler.
With a made to measure wood venetian blind - the slats will be trimmed to your custom measurements. This will expose the base wood colour both sides of the blind. When your blind is fitted within a window recess, the outer edges of the slats are not visible and therefore this does not affect the finished look.
Should your blind is to be fitted outside of the window recess - you may wish to pick the ‘Stain Wood Ends’ option for a small additional cost. This will ensure that the exposed ends of the slats are stained the same colour as the rest of the slats.
