Tools and equipment for installing window blinds

Before you start to install a window blind it is a good idea to prepare all the tools you will need in advance. This prevents the need for multiple trips to the tool shed at the bottom of the garden. Some of these items will be included with the blind you have bought, however some parts may be missing, or lost if the blind is second hand or re-purposed from another room.

So before you get started here is a list of items you will need, listed as included with the packaging and not included with the packaging:

Included

• The blind
• Blind wall mounting bracket
• Bracket screws (although you can replace these if necessary)

Not Included

• Measuring tape
• Pencil
• Bracket screws (should you want longer and thicker screws, or have hollow walls than need more substantial support)
• Rawl plugs
• Spirit level
• Drill and drill bits
• Screwdriver/electric screwdriver
• Indoor ladder
